Superbowl Sunday!

Yes! It's Superbowl time and though my Steeler's didn't make the playoffs, it has been another great year of what ifs that will now be played out by Tom (cry baby) Brady and his Patriots against Goff and the Rams of LA! Highly exciting times indeed and where better to watch from but a warm bar stool or booth with a beer or wine in hand! Oh and food is always good too! Newbernians, I believe the three best places to do this would be Halftimes sports bar, Buffalo Wild Wings and Triple Play!

I've heard rumors that Half Time is sold out because they sell tables and chairs and standing room for major events. Triple Play has also started this year charging a door cover to help with the crowd, but BWW is always first come first seated! I will say, all places feature a vast range of TV's in many different sizes and some even personal sized at the table which if you are not into the Superbowl but your partner is can be quite nice!

Now for the food; BWWs has all those tasty wing sauces that we have come to love. My particular favorite is Caribbean Jerk! Half Time also features wings, burgers, nachos and classic bar fare done very well and is always enjoyable! Triple Play in the past had all you could eat snow crab legs which was awesome for nearly five hours a fresh basket would show up every 15-20 minutes or so. I went to cracking and dipping. It truly was one of the best places to watch and enjoy such a treat! No matter where you go, home is always a good option as well. That is where I will be this year for sure! Stay safe this weekend New Bern, when in doubt Uber out! It's not worth your life or someone else's for the dollars it will cost over the thousands spent if you hit a check point! OH YEAH, GO RAMS!
